On February 25, 2025, at approximately 7:28 PM, the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a shooting on U.S. Highway 6, mile marker 4, near Montgomery Pass on the California border.
A truck driver, who was standing outside his semi-truck, was shot in the leg after a vehicle pulled up and discharged approximately five rounds.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by White Mountain Ambulance to Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop, California, for treatment.
The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 775-945-2434.
